Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

This is a permanent position offering flexibility that's rare in veterinary practice. You'll work 40 hours across 4 days per week (8.30am to 6.30pm), with minimal out-of-hours commitments. Part-time hours are also available if that suits your lifestyle better. One position is based primarily at the Stratford-upon-Avon surgery, with a second roving role available across 2-3 Warwickshire clinics.

You'll be joining an experienced, close-knit team of 30 vets who genuinely support one another. Warwickshire offers the best of both worlds: countryside walks, historic interest, and excellent schools, with Birmingham just 30 minutes away and direct trains to London.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care across small animal cases with a broad caseload
• Work collaboratively with the team, which includes vets holding certificates in medicine, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedic surgery, dermatology, feline medicine, ophthalmology, and diagnostic imaging
• Utilise the practice's outstanding facilities including CT, digital x-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopy, and hydrotherapy units
• Contribute to 24-hour care provision supported by the practice's own night vet team
• Support and mentor where appropriate within a team that values excellence and peer learning

Requirements

• Qualified veterinary surgeon with RCVS registration
• No specific experience requirement stated, though the team values those eager to develop within a supportive environment
• Interest in one or more clinical areas including orthopaedics, acupuncture, laparoscopy, cardiology, imaging, feline medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology, soft tissue surgery, or chronic pain management
