About the Role

Join Medivet as a Client Care Assistant and become the first point of contact for clients calling or visiting the practice. Based in Shrewsbury with 1 in 4 Saturdays at the Whitchurch Practice location, you'll work with a team that treats client care as a priority. The role spans small animal, mixed animal, exotics, and hospital services, giving you exposure to diverse cases and a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients on arrival and manage reception duties, updating patient records accurately
• Answer client phone calls and manage incoming messages promptly
• Triage emergency appointment requests, contacting clients to reschedule as needed
• Manage the practice diary to optimise appointment availability against team skill sets
• Maintain online appointment slot availability for client self-booking
• Process repeat prescription requests from clients
• Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment
• Cover 1 in 4 Saturdays at Whitchurch Practice

Requirements

• Excellent reception and client-facing skills, with a genuine interest in providing exceptional care
• Good numeracy and confidence using online appointment booking systems
• Ability to prioritise, remain calm under pressure, and adapt to changing demands
• Team player with a willingness to learn and develop
• Previous veterinary receptionist experience is desirable but not essential
