Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

Medivet Colchester Maldon Road is seeking a confident veterinary surgeon to deliver excellent first opinion clinical care in a friendly, well-established practice. This part-time position (ideally 3 days per week, though flexible for the right candidate) offers genuine clinical autonomy—you'll manage your own caseload with some sole charge work, backed by an experienced team and neighbouring Medivet branches for support when you need it. The practice is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound and endoscopy, and actively encourages you to develop skills in areas that interest you. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional clinical care in first opinion consultations and routine surgery to the highest standards of regulatory and practice compliance
• Develop tailored treatment plans collaboratively with clients
• Work as part of a supportive veterinary team, contributing to practice development
• Share your expertise and help develop colleagues within the wider Medivet community
• Manage some sole charge work with support from an experienced team and local Medivet branches

Requirements

• MRCVS qualification (registered veterinary surgeon)
• Confident in first opinion small animal consultation and routine surgical procedures
• Passion for clinical excellence and genuine client care
• Team player with a collaborative approach to practice culture
