This is your opportunity to step into clinical leadership at Medivet Chelmsford, a well-established small animal practice on Springfield Road. You'll lead the nursing team while remaining actively involved in patient care, from routine consultations and nurse-led appointments to supporting surgeries and diagnostics. The practice has excellent facilities including in-house laboratory, diagnostic imaging, ultrasound and modern surgical equipment, caring for cats, dogs and small mammals.
You'll be accountable for the clinical leadership of the nursing team, mentoring the student nurse and supporting colleagues while maintaining the highest regulatory and operational standards. Working alongside the Practice Owner and experienced registered veterinary nurses, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping day-to-day practice operations and creating a positive, supportive environment where the team thrives. The role includes 1 in 6 full weekends at the 24-hour hospital in Southend-on-Sea, two weeks of on-call cover per year, and 1-2 bank holidays annually.
