As Head Nurse, you will drive clinical excellence and team development at Medivet's established Wickford practice. You'll work closely with Branch Partner Susi Schoch, who has led the practice since 2008 and is renowned for mentoring veterinary professionals. This role combines hands-on clinical nursing with leadership responsibility, giving you the opportunity to inspire your team while delivering exceptional patient care.
The practice cares for a diverse range of small animal and exotic patients including cats, dogs, rabbits, poultry and small mammals. With services spanning nurse clinics, dentistry, in-house laboratory, ultrasound and digital radiography, you'll have excellent scope to utilise and develop both your clinical and leadership skills. The role includes a 1 in 6 rota for weekends at the 24-hour Southend-on-Sea hospital, two weeks of on-call cover per year, and 1-2 bank holidays annually.
