Night Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

This is a full-time Night Veterinary Surgeon position at Medivet Dearne Valley 24-Hour, with a 7 nights on, 14 nights off rota. The role is suited to a vet who wants to develop clinical interests in ECC while working in a busy hospital setting.

You will be part of an experienced and supportive team, led by Branch Partner Magda and Practice Manager Michelle. The hospital offers a varied and interesting caseload, with opportunities to grow your clinical interests.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as the Night Veterinary Surgeon in a full-time 24-hour hospital role.
• Manage an exciting and varied caseload during night shifts.
• Contribute to ECC-related clinical work and develop your interests in this area.
• Work alongside the hospital team in a supportive environment.

Requirements

• Experienced Veterinary Surgeon.
• Interest in developing clinical skills within ECC.
• Comfort working a night rota of 7 nights on and 14 nights off.

About the Practice

Medivet Dearne Valley 24-Hour is a purpose-built hospital in Thurnscoe. The team is described as experienced and supportive, with the role led by Branch Partner Magda and Practice Manager Michelle.

The hospital is equipped with a full-body CT scanner, digital radiography, ultrasound and an in-house laboratory, alongside three consulting rooms, two theatres, a large preparation area, and dedicated learning and office areas.
