About the Role

This is a rewarding and varied opportunity for a Veterinary Care Assistant to become a valued member of the whole team. You’ll move fluidly between clinical and client-facing duties, working in a full-time position that keeps no two days quite the same. Whether you’re assisting with pre and post-operative care in theatre, supporting nurses and vets with patient monitoring, or ensuring clients receive an exceptional experience at reception, you’ll have the chance to deliver real impact across the practice.

Based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, you’ll join a Medivet practice where your development and wellbeing genuinely matter—not just your rota.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the clinical team during surgeries and procedures, assisting with pre and post-operative patient care
• Maintain theatre practice standards, including hygiene and infection control protocols
• Deliver compassionate patient monitoring and care—walking, toileting, and feeding animals in your care
• Provide exceptional client-facing service at reception, promoting practice services and building positive relationships
• Handle medication dispensing and stock control with accuracy and attention to detail
• Work collaboratively within your team, maintaining calm under pressure and supporting colleagues

Requirements

• Passion for animal care and commitment to exceptional client service
• Ability to prioritise, remain calm under pressure, and work flexibly within a team
• Willingness to learn and develop in a supportive clinical environment
• Must be 18 years or over (due to Health and Safety Executive guidance on role-specific duties)
• No specific qualifications required—training will be provided
