This is a permanent position based at Medivet 24 Hour Woodstock, a modern, well-equipped veterinary hospital serving the Oxford region. You'll work a pattern of two 10-hour weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) plus two additional shifts during the week, giving you a balanced schedule across the busy hospital and neighbouring North Oxford Practice. Located on the edge of the Cotswolds with easy access to Oxford city centre, the role combines day-to-day patient care with exposure to a diverse caseload including routine procedures, medical and surgical patients, emergency presentations, and critical care cases.
As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you'll be at the heart of hospital operations. Your days will involve supporting the nursing and veterinary teams, caring for inpatients, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, preparing equipment, assisting with patient handling, and ensuring patients receive excellent care and comfort throughout their stay.
