Join Medivet's well-established Horncastle practice as a Veterinary Surgeon working alongside experienced Partner Dave Kenyon and a supportive regional clinical network. This is a true first-opinion, continuity-focused practice where you'll follow your cases and build lasting client relationships, not pass them on. You'll enjoy real clinical freedom with genuine autonomy, backed by strong partner-led leadership and genuine continuity of care with a loyal, established client base.
Based in Horncastle, a relaxed market town with easy links to Lincoln, Skegness and Boston, this role offers proper work-life balance without the pressure or cost of city-based practice. Full-time hours are 40 hours over 4 days (8:30am to 6:30pm), plus 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:30am to 12pm). Crucially, there is no out-of-hours rota requirement, and flexible or part-time arrangements are considered.
This is ideal for a vet with 3 or more years' experience who is confident in routine consults and surgery, comfortable with sole charge work, but values strong regional and clinical backup. You want autonomy without isolation, and support without micromanagement.
