About the Role
You'll join Natures Vet as a part-time Registered Veterinary Nurse, working 24ā30 hours across three days with a 1:4 Saturday morning rota. The best part? No out-of-hours duties. This is flexible, family-friendly nursing that lets you build a career without sacrificing your evenings and nights.
Based primarily at the larger, purpose-built Radstock site (near Bath), you'll have access to excellent facilities including digital X-rays, ultrasound, comprehensive lab equipment, blood machines, operating theatres, and a dedicated dental suite. The practice also runs a smaller village surgery in Paulton, near Bristol, giving you variety in your daily work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care across all aspects of small animal practice
- Support daily consultations alongside the nursing team
- Contribute to theatre work, diagnostics, and patient care protocols
- Develop and apply specialist knowledge in areas such as anaesthesia and nutrition
- Work collaboratively with four veterinary surgeons and four experienced RVNs
- Mentor and support four student nurses in the team
- Help maintain the high standards of a well-equipped, modern facility
Requirements
- Current RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse
- Passion for small animal care and patient welfare
- Ability to work flexibly across the three-day week, including Saturday mornings
- Team-focused approach with strong communication skills

About the Practice
Natures Vet operates two community surgeries in Paulton and Radstock, offering traditional, high-quality veterinary care at affordable prices. The practice is part of IVC Evidensia and Mars Veterinary Health, bringing access to larger group resources while maintaining a warm, family-friendly local presence. The team includes four veterinary surgeons, four experienced RVNs, four student nurses, and eight support staff members. Beyond conventional medicine, Natures Vet also offers acupuncture for pets and welcomes familiesāincluding childrenāto consultations to foster responsible pet care.
