About the Role

You’ll join New Priory Vets’ Peacehaven clinic as a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse, working a balanced schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8am–6:30pm. The role is primarily based at the coastal Peacehaven site with occasional cover for two smaller branches, giving you variety without constant travel.

The Peacehaven clinic delivers advanced general practice services to a loyal client base, with seamless access to the flagship Brighton hospital facilities—including CT, ultrasound, and advanced diagnostics—when patients need them. You’ll be part of an exceptionally supportive team where wellbeing and work-life balance aren’t afterthoughts; they’re embedded in how the practice operates. Many clients have been with the practice for decades, meaning you’ll build lasting relationships and see the real impact of quality care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to first-opinion small animal patients across medicine and surgery
  • Assist veterinary surgeons in theatre and client consultations
  • Manage inpatient care and oversee patient admits and discharges
  • Conduct nurse-led consultations and clinics
  • Support clinical standards and contribute to ongoing practice development
  • Work collaboratively with the veterinary surgery and wider practice team to deliver excellent client experiences

Requirements

  • Current registration with the RCVS as a Veterinary Nurse
  • Clinical practice experience with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Good organisational skills and effective workload management
  • Proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
  • Team-oriented mindset with confidence and motivation in a primary care setting
