About the Role

You’ll be joining New Priory Vets’ Peacehaven clinic as a valued member of the nursing team, delivering high-quality patient care in a supportive, values-led environment. This is a full-time position working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday between 8am and 6:30pm—giving you proper work-life balance on the South Coast.

The Peacehaven clinic provides advanced general practice services and benefits from close ties with the flagship Brighton hospital, where patients can access additional facilities including referral support from Brighton Veterinary Referrals when needed. You’ll be part of a team that’s been serving the local community for decades, with clients who value continuity of care and the personal touch the practice is known for.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinary surgeons in theatre and during consultations
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient nursing care across the Peacehaven site and cover arrangements at two smaller satellite locations
  • Handle patient admits and discharges with attention to detail
  • Conduct nurse consultations independently, supporting clients and extending clinical care
  • Contribute to maintaining and developing clinical standards within the practice
  • Work collaboratively with the wider practice team to ensure excellent patient outcomes and client experiences

Requirements

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively
  • Proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous professional improvement
  • Team-orientated, confident, and motivated mindset
