Orwell Veterinary Group is an independent, family-owned practice established over 50 years ago. Operating from a purpose-built Tier Three Hospital at Grange Farm plus three branch surgeries across Ipswich, the practice has earned an IPC Silver Award for infection prevention and built a reputation for clinical excellence within the local community. Co-founded by brothers Charles and James Bagnall in 1994, the practice has grown substantially over two decades whilst maintaining a stable, long-serving team of experienced vets, RVNs, and support staff.
The Grange Farm Hospital features a spacious waiting area with separate cat and dog zones, three consult rooms, a dedicated RVN consult room, large prep area, two theatres, dental suite, imaging and recovery facilities, digital X-ray (including dental), ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopic equipment, in-house laboratory, comfortable staff room, ample parking, and quiet office space. A major renovation adding a new consult room and enhanced facilities is currently underway. The practice is passionate about community involvement, supporting Guide Dogs and local wildlife charities, attending dog shows, fundraising for local hospice, and visiting schools to inspire future veterinary professionals.
