This is a full-time small animal veterinary position with Paws Indoors, an independent mobile practice serving Norwich and rural Norfolk. You'll work 30-40 hours per week across four days, with 9am-6pm weekday hours and 1:3 Saturday mornings for emergencies only. There is no out-of-hours on-call, as emergency cover is outsourced to a trusted external provider.
Based in the charming Norfolk countryside just 10 miles south of Norwich, you'll spend most of your time visiting pets in their own homes, which creates a calmer environment and allows you to deliver thoughtful, unhurried care. The practice operates a supportive, close-knit team culture where clinical autonomy is valued and collaboration comes naturally.
Paws Indoors is the only dedicated mobile veterinary practice in East Anglia, established in 2003 by Rosie Smith. Born from a desire to balance motherhood with veterinary practice, the business has grown from a small home-based service into a thriving independent practice with 3 experienced GP vets, 2 RVNs, and 3 support staff. The practice operates from a well-equipped surgical base in Hempnall and was recognised with the Small Business Award at The Norfolk Business Awards in 2024. The team is transitioning to an Employee Ownership Trust, giving all staff a stake in the business and opportunities for management or leadership roles. The practice is committed to accessibility, serving housebound, elderly, and disabled clients, and uses electric vehicles to reduce its carbon footprint.
