1:5 Saturday rota (08:30–17:45) with time off in lieu.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Paxton Vets, a respected small animal practice with two clinics on either side of Crystal Palace in South London. Both sites have been serving the local community for over 50 years and are known for delivering high-quality care with excellent clinical facilities.
You’ll work across a 40-hour week with flexible shift patterns (early, mid, or late shifts), plus a 1:5 Saturday rota (08:30–17:45) with time off in lieu. A 4-day week option (4 × 10-hour shifts) is also available. You’ll be part of a nursing team of five, supported by a Head Nurse, Practice Manager, and seven veterinary surgeons, so you’ll never feel alone in your clinical decisions.
The practice has impressive facilities including digital radiography, dental X-ray, ultrasounds, endoscopy, in-house IDEXX laboratory equipment (haematology, biochemistry, electrolytes, urinalysis), Tonopen, ECG, blood pressure monitors, pulse oximetry, and basic orthopaedic kit—giving you access to modern diagnostics and treatment options.
Paxton Vets operates two clinics across South London, each treating dogs, cats, and small pets including rabbits. Established over 50 years ago, both sites are rabbit-friendly and well-known in their local communities. Each clinic has dedicated receptionists and veterinary care assistants to support the nursing team, creating a truly collaborative environment.
The practice is part of IVC Evidensia, the UK and Europe’s leading veterinary care group comprising over 900 practices and referral hospitals. IVC Evidensia is committed to supporting careers without limits, investing in learning, innovation, and wellbeing so teams can grow in confidence, capability, and professional fulfilment at every career stage.
