Looking for a part-time reception role where your calm, caring manner really matters? This could suit you if you enjoy busy days, varied shifts and making a genuine difference for pets and owners who need support.
You’ll be the first point of contact for pets and owners at PDSA Manchester, helping to deliver a welcoming and efficient service in a busy hospital environment. The role centres on excellent customer service, sympathetic communication and keeping people supported from the moment they arrive or call.
This is a 20 hour per week, part-time temporary role for 6 months. The rota is varied and is provided 4 weeks in advance, with planned overtime. You should be comfortable working weekdays, weekends and bank holidays as part of a self-covering team, and the role typically includes 5 to 10 hours of overtime each week.
PDSA provides vital veterinary care for pets whose owners are in financial hardship. The organisation has supported people and pets for over a century and is focused on expanding its reach so it can help even more families.
The Manchester hospital is described as busy, and the wider organisation says its teams are collaborative and supportive, with a strong focus on inclusion, meaningful work and positive change.
