About the Role
This part-time veterinary surgeon position offers the chance to work 22.5 hours per week with genuine flexibility to support your work-life balance. You'll see a diverse caseload of medical and surgical cases across small animal patients, working in a collaborative, supportive environment where case discussion and shared learning are encouraged.
Based at PDSA Aston, a modern, well-equipped hospital, you'll bring clinical confidence and adaptability to a role where no two days are the same. You'll work alongside an experienced team, discussing cases and treatment plans while maintaining PDSA's pragmatic, welfare-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide veterinary care to small animal patients presenting with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions
- Make sound, evidence-based clinical decisions and communicate realistic treatment options to clients
- Work collaboratively with the hospital team, contributing to case discussion and shared learning
- Balance best clinical practice with client circumstances, taking a pragmatic approach to patient welfare
- Champion PDSA's mission to help pets of people in financial hardship
Requirements
- Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with current RCVS registration
- Clinical confidence and adaptability to handle a diverse caseload
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with clients
- Team player with a collaborative approach to work
- Pragmatic, evidence-based approach to clinical decision-making
