About the Role

Pennard Vets is seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon for a senior clinical position at its Tonbridge practice. This role offers the chance to help shape the future direction of the branch, influence clinical standards and contribute to ongoing business development.

You will have clinical autonomy, genuine input into decision-making and the opportunity to build on an established practice while supporting continuity of care for clients and patients. The rota is a four-day week, including a Saturday morning rota, with no out-of-hours commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical and surgical care for small animal patients.
• Lead clinical standards within the practice.
• Mentor and support colleagues where appropriate.
• Work cases through thoroughly and manage ongoing treatment plans.
• Contribute ideas that support practice development and improvement.
• Build strong relationships with clients and the wider team.

About the Practice

Pennard Vets is an independent, employee-owned veterinary group with practices across Kent. The Tonbridge branch combines the close relationships of a local practice with access to wider group resources, facilities and expertise.

The practice is equipped with dental radiography, laparoscopic spay equipment, ultrasound, digital cytology and in-house laboratory facilities. It also has a dedicated ambulance service, plus access to CT, MRI, referral services and overnight hospitalisation at the Sevenoaks hospital. Many clients are also supported through unlimited consultation plans, helping maintain continuity of care.
