Veterinary Hydrotherapist

About the Role

Pennard Vets is seeking a qualified Hydrotherapist to join its rehabilitation team at the Sevenoaks practice. You will be working in a modern veterinary environment alongside experienced clinicians, supporting patient recovery after surgery, injury and age-related mobility issues.

The role is part-time, with 16 to 32 hours per week, and flexible working hours are available. Optional Saturday sessions are also mentioned. For candidates with physiotherapy qualifications, there is scope to provide physiotherapy services across additional Pennard sites and potentially develop home-visit services.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver hydrotherapy sessions for small animal patients.
• Provide physiotherapy treatment where qualified.
• Develop and review treatment plans with the veterinary team.
• Monitor patient progress and adapt rehabilitation programmes as needed.
• Keep accurate clinical records.
• Manage appointment scheduling and client communication.
• Advise owners on ongoing care and rehabilitation at home.
• Maintain hydrotherapy equipment and facilities.

Requirements

• A recognised Hydrotherapy qualification is essential.
• A physiotherapy qualification is desirable, including a Level 3 Diploma in Small Animal Physiotherapy or ACPAT registration.
• A good understanding of animal anatomy and physiology.
• Excellent communication and client care skills.
• A compassionate and patient approach.
• The ability to meet the physical demands of the role.
