Pike Moor Vets is seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a close-knit, independent team. This is a role for someone who enjoys first-opinion work, values continuity of care and wants the space to build trusted relationships with clients and their pets.
You’ll work across two practices in Horwich and Westhoughton, just four miles apart. The team is open to supporting development too, so if you are starting to think about mentoring or leadership in the years ahead, there is scope for the role to grow with you.
The practice is well equipped for first-opinion work, with a modern ultrasound machine, digital dental radiography, multiparameter monitoring, a comprehensive in-house laboratory and support from a visiting cardiologist.
Pike Moor Vets is an independent small animal practice with a long history in the Bolton area, caring for pets since the 1970s. The practice has been shaped by an emphasis on clinical standards, staff development and a collaborative culture rather than rapid expansion.
The team includes five vets and seven RVNs, and the practice works from two locations in Horwich and Westhoughton. Its approach centres on continuity of care, clinical freedom and steady investment in the people and services that support patients.
