A dedicated operating day each week gives you time to focus on surgical work, while a 1:8 weekend rota brings the chance to see true ECC cases alongside experienced colleagues.
Weekend rota on a 1:8 pattern, working Saturdays and Sundays alongside two other vets. No overnight or on-call OOH is stated.
This small animal Veterinary Surgeon role is based at Rowe Veterinary Group's Wotton-under-Edge practice, where you will join a busy, committed team delivering first opinion care alongside more advanced caseload exposure. The role includes a dedicated operating day each week, so you will have protected time to concentrate on developing your surgical skills.
You will also take part in a weekend rota on a 1:8 pattern, working alongside two other vets on Saturday and Sunday and seeing true ECC cases. The practice environment includes a mix of routine primary care and close working proximity to advanced practitioners in neurology and radioactive iodine.
Rowe Veterinary Group was founded in 1948 and now has four veterinary practices in the North Bristol area, including a 24 hour hospital in Bradley Stoke, branch surgeries in Yate and Thornbury, and a veterinary surgery with MRI facilities in Wotton-under-Edge. The group also provides a referral service through Rowe Referrals.
The practice offers first opinion care for dogs, cats, small furries, birds and exotic animals, and the Wotton-under-Edge site includes facilities such as digital X ray, dental X ray, MRI, blood pressure monitoring and ultrasound. The team includes veterinary surgeons, a Head Nurse, four RVNs, receptionists and care assistants, with in house neurology and radioactive iodine services.
