About the Role

Stokewood Veterinary Centre is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its small animal first opinion team in Bournemouth. This is a permanent position offering a genuinely attractive work-life balance: no Saturday shifts, no out-of-hours duties, and the practice is closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays. You’ll work flexible hours tailored to suit your lifestyle, with a rota designed with staff wellbeing at its heart.

You’ll be part of a well-established, long-standing practice with a loyal client base and a reputation built on kindness, compassion, and excellent clinical care. The team includes experienced veterinarians, an anaesthesia certificate holder, and an SVN who progressed from PCA level—a supportive environment where your development truly matters. The practice has achieved Cat Friendly Clinic Gold Status, featuring a dedicated cat ward and specialist facilities, making it an ideal home if feline medicine interests you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Running nurse clinics
  • Assisting veterinarians during surgical procedures
  • Laboratory work and diagnostics
  • Daily sterilisation and theatre preparation
  • Supporting high standards of patient care across all clinical areas

Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) qualification
  • Commitment to excellent patient care and professional development
  • Whether newly qualified or experienced, a willingness to grow and expand your skill set
