Sussex Equine Hospital is seeking a Senior Ambulatory Equine Veterinary Surgeon to deliver care to leisure and competition horses across the picturesque Sussex countryside. This is a full-time permanent position based in Ashington, West Sussex, offering the ideal blend of countryside, coastal, and city living.
You'll work collaboratively with the wider practice team, continuing to develop your clinical skills while sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues. As an integral member of the clinical team, you'll contribute positively to the practice's clinical culture and support the ongoing development of those around you.
Sussex Equine Hospital was founded in 1951 (formerly Arundel Equine Hospital) and relocated to Ashington in July 2017. The state-of-the-art, purpose-built facilities include two hospital barns, a separate isolation facility, modern surgical suite, advanced imaging (CT, MRI, nuclear medicine), and an on-site laboratory. The practice comprises 26 dedicated equine vets with interests across different equine veterinary disciplines, supported by a large team of nurses, grooms, and office staff.
The hospital provides ambulatory equine services throughout East and West Sussex, Surrey, and Hampshire, caring for all types of equine patients from elite sport and racehorses to children's ponies.
