Three Counties Equine Hospital is recruiting two enthusiastic new or recent graduates for a fixed-term 18-month intern position, with starts planned for January and February 2027. The role is based at a friendly first opinion ambulatory and referral hospital serving the Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire borders.
You’ll work as part of an experienced hospital team under the supervision of senior clinicians, including diplomats in equine internal medicine and surgery. The internship covers internal medicine, surgery, lameness and after hours, with a dedicated out of hours week built into the rota.
The caseload is varied and includes in-patient elective and emergency work, intensive care of adults and neonates, diagnostic imaging, anaesthesia, surgery, standing surgical procedures, poor performance and lameness investigations, and AI of around 50 mares during stud season. There is also the opportunity to be involved in advanced reproductive techniques and research projects.
