This Farm Vet position is based in Kelso, in the Scottish Borders, and sits within a mixed rural practice that works with beef and sheep clients alongside small animal and equine services. The rota is full-time with one weekday off every other week, and part-time is considered for the right candidate.
The role centres on progressive suckler farms and includes routine work such as pelvimetry, AI, bull testing, pregnancy scanning and blood sampling, plus emergency work. There is also scope to work with pedigree sheep flocks and commercial sheep farms through the practice's Flock Health Club.
Galedin Vets - Kelso is an RCVS accredited rural mixed practice with an established beef and sheep client base, plus small animal and equine services. The practice has phase contrast microscopy, Pulsator-V, and both linear and curvilinear ultrasound scanners.
The team includes a number of certificate holders and colleagues enrolled in certificate programmes, with support available from experienced colleagues. The practice is part of the VetPartners family.
