
A full-time RVN role with a 6-week rolling rota, including one full week off in every cycle, offers real structure and time to recharge. You'll also split your time across Abergavenny, Tredegar, Brecon and Monmouth, with a varied caseload and strong nursing support.
Out-of-hours service is outsourced. The practice retains its own inpatients from Monday 9am to Saturday 6pm.
This full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse position is based mainly at Abbey Veterinary Centres' Abergavenny site, with some cover at the Tredegar, Brecon and Monmouth branches. The rota runs over a 6-week cycle and includes one full week off in every six weeks, giving the role a clear rhythm and built-in recovery time.
You'll be joining a team that values varied nursing work, with shifts across procedures, consulting, theatre, kennels and nights for inpatients only. The main Abergavenny site provides 24-hour nursing for inpatients, and the practice retains its own inpatients from Monday 9am to Saturday 6pm, while the OOH service is outsourced.
Abbey Veterinary Centres is part of VetPartners and operates across four RCVS-accredited practices. The wider team includes 12 RVNs, 3 SVNs, 3 ACAs and 13 Veterinary Surgeons, including one certificate holder in Medicine and another working towards a Surgery certificate.
The practice is based around the Brecon Beacons and its main Abergavenny site provides 24-hour nursing for inpatients. Abbey Vets is also a member of the BVA Great Workplaces Scheme.
