Saturday mornings only: one Saturday in every 12-week period at Bury St Edmunds (time off in lieu); one Saturday in every 12-week period at Thetford Surgery (paid at enhanced rate). No overnight or on-call duties.
You'll join a 5-strong nursing team at Cotton Lane Veterinary Clinic, a friendly small animal practice with a genuine commitment to professional development. This is an ideal opportunity whether you're launching your RVN career or seeking a supportive environment that values your progression. The role runs 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday based at the Bury St Edmunds branch, with a straightforward rota involving Saturday mornings once per 12-week cycle at your base surgery (time off in lieu) plus one Saturday per 12-week cycle at their Thetford sister surgery (paid at an enhanced rate).
The practice runs nurse-led clinics daily covering routine health checks, second vaccinations, post-operative check-ups and weight clinics. You'll work alongside a team of 3 veterinary surgeons with typically two vets managing procedures and consultations while a third focuses on consultations only. The clinical environment includes two operating theatres, a tub table, multiparameter monitors and doppler equipment. The team holds regular clinical and branch meetings to maintain high standards while keeping client care personal and friendly.
