An experienced vet is sought for a senior small animal position based at Duns in the Scottish Borders. The role combines first opinion work, clinical freedom to follow cases through, and mentoring support for younger colleagues.
On-call rota with time in lieu for nights and weekends, currently 1 in 8, plus 1 in 4 Saturday mornings.
This is a senior small animal vet opportunity for an experienced clinician joining the Duns branch of Galedin Vets. The practice is based in the beautiful rural Scottish Borders, with Edinburgh within an hour's drive.
You will be part of a mixed practice with excellent small animal facilities in newly moved premises. The team uses modern diagnostic equipment including new DR x-ray, dental x-ray and good quality ultrasound, and the role offers first opinion work with clinical freedom to follow cases up.
Most vets work a 4.5 day week, with some flexibility available. The role currently includes out-of-hours on-call duties with time in lieu for nights and weekends, on a 1 in 8 rota and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings.
The role is with Galedin Vets at its Duns branch, part of the VetPartners family. The practice is a mixed practice with strong small animal facilities and has recently moved into new premises.
VetPartners says its team culture and support have been recognised, and certificate study is actively encouraged across the practice.
