Selby Vets for Pets is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its established small animal practice. This full-time role is 40 hours per week, with 1 in 4 Saturdays from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
You'll manage a varied medical and surgical caseload, work closely with skilled colleagues, and have the freedom to work cases up to a high standard. The practice encourages clinical interests and can support certificates in areas such as ophthalmology, behaviour, soft tissue surgery and internal medicine.
The team is led by a Clinical Lead with over 26 years of veterinary experience, and the practice places real emphasis on collaboration, learning and work-life balance. There are no overnight responsibilities, with dedicated out-of-hours providers and referral hospitals nearby.
Selby Vets for Pets is a purpose-built practice based within the Pets at Home store on a busy retail park just outside Selby town centre. The site offers free parking and excellent transport links to Leeds, York and the East Coast.
The practice team includes Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs, Clinical Care Advisors, a Head Nurse and a Practice Manager. It is described as established, with a loyal client base and a focus on colleague wellbeing.
