About the Role

This is your opportunity to purchase and operate an established small animal practice with genuine growth potential. You'll run Vets for Pets Barnsley Cortonwood with complete clinical and operational autonomy, shaping the offering for your team and the community you serve. The practice operates 6 days a week, with out-of-hours cover provided by the neighbouring Vets for Pets Barnsley Hospital (11 miles away), so you can enjoy true work-life balance without the burden of overnight emergency responsibilities.

Based on the ground floor of Pets at Home at Cortonwood Retail Park, south-east of Barnsley and equidistant to Rotherham, the practice benefits from excellent footfall and an established patient base. You'll inherit a dedicated team comprising one vet (plus locum support), one RVN, a practice manager, and three customer care assistants, giving you a solid foundation to build from.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead clinical decision-making and set the clinical direction for the practice
• Manage day-to-day operations and drive business growth
• Lead and develop your team of vets, nurses, and support staff

Requirements

• Experienced vet, RVN, or practice manager with the ambition to own and run a successful practice
• Proven track record in veterinary practice or management
• Business acumen and entrepreneurial drive
• Commitment to clinical excellence and team development
