Out-of-hours cover managed by Glasgow Vet School; practice operates six days per week daytime only.
This is a practice ownership opportunity with Vets for Pets, a network of over 440 locally owned small animal practices across the UK. You'll take the helm of Vets for Pets Bearsden, a well-established practice opened in 2012, and lead it with complete clinical and operational independence. You'll benefit from a salary from day one as you build, alongside genuine work-life balance, rather than the financial strain of a traditional start-up.
The practice operates six days a week, with out-of-hours cover provided by Glasgow Vet School, keeping emergency pressure manageable. You'll be based in a stand-alone 2,156 sq ft facility across two floors on a busy trunk road, positioned for strong footfall and serving a large residential area. Off-road parking is shared to the rear.
Vets for Pets Bearsden opened in 2012 and has grown to serve a large residential catchment on Glasgow's edge. The 2,156 sq ft practice spans two floors and operates six days a week, with out-of-hours support from Glasgow Vet School. The established team comprises seven clinical colleagues, including an advanced practitioner in small animal medicine, and maintains an active patient base exceeding 2,500, primarily dogs, cats, and rabbits.
The practice holds RCVS PSS accreditation, ISFM silver status, and is an established nurse training centre. As part of the Vets for Pets network, it operates independently whilst benefiting from group-wide support infrastructure and shared expertise across 440 practices nationwide.
