About the Role

This is a practice ownership opportunity with Vets for Pets, a network of over 440 locally owned small animal veterinary practices. As a practice owner, you'll operate with complete clinical and operational autonomy, individually shaping your practice offering for your team and community. You'll receive financial support to skip the start-up phase and earn a salary from day one, allowing you to build and grow while maintaining true work-life balance.

The Market Harborough practice is an in-store location within a busy Pets at Home store, easily accessible by train with strong commuter links to London and Leicester. Currently operating Monday to Friday, there is significant scope for expansion to weekend opening. The practice has a lean team in place including an experienced practice manager and support staff, with veterinary cover currently provided by external vets. As the incoming owner, you'll have the opportunity to build your own veterinary team and drive the practice forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish clinical direction and build a veterinary team to replace current external cover
• Develop practice strategy aligned with your vision for patient care and team culture
• Manage practice operations with clinical and operational autonomy
• Lead growth initiatives, including potential weekend opening expansion
• Work alongside the existing practice manager and support team
• Engage with the local Market Harborough community and Pets at Home customer base

Requirements

• Experienced veterinary surgeon, RVN, or practice manager with ownership ambitions
• Demonstrated business acumen and drive to build a successful practice
• Ability to lead and develop a veterinary team
• Vision for personal and professional growth in practice ownership
