Ready to mentor the next generation of nurses while enjoying genuine work-life balance? This supportive Chester practice is looking for an experienced RVN to work just 2 days a week plus a manageable 1-in-4 weekend rota.
1 in 4 weekends (weekend day shifts, not overnight on-call)
This is a part-time position working 2 days per week, plus 1 in 4 weekends. You'll join a close-knit team at Chester Caldy Vets4Pets, a practice that values professional development and genuine mentorship. This role suits a confident, experienced nurse who enjoys supporting and developing junior team members.
You'll have the opportunity to use your full range of nursing skills: admitting patients, monitoring anaesthesia, patient recovery and discharge, and performing Schedule 3 procedures including surgery and dentistry. A dedicated team of veterinary care assistants and student nurses handles theatre turnaround and patient preparation, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality nursing care. Clinical Coach qualification is ideal (or you may work towards it with practice support).
Chester Caldy Vets4Pets opened in 2017 and has grown from a single-vet practice to a five-vet team, supported by four RVNs, two SVNs, dedicated receptionists, and veterinary care assistants. The vet team holds various postgraduate certificates in medicine, surgery, diagnostic imaging, and acupuncture, ensuring clients access high-quality, diverse expertise.
The practice is RCVS GP-accredited, a Cat-Friendly Clinic (Gold standard), and VetGDP approved. It operates as an RVN Training Practice, actively investing in the development of all staff members. The team is committed to inclusivity and celebrates the diversity of the community it serves.
