About the Role

Vets for Pets Oxford Cowley is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their award-winning small animal practice. This full-time position offers 40 hours per week with no out-of-hours work, allowing you to maintain a genuine work-life balance while delivering exceptional patient care.

You'll work within a team of nine across a single location, supporting a diverse caseload in a practice with over 10 years' experience. The practice has a loyal client base and varied clinical interests spanning internal medicine, surgery, imaging, and ophthalmology. You'll manage cases from admission through inpatient and anaesthetic care to discharge, with full scope to develop your nursing skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional nursing care across inpatient management, anaesthetic support, and patient discharge
• Manage diagnostic laboratory work and support both medical and surgical nursing activities
• Maintain and enhance the practice's friendly, positive culture through direct patient and client interaction
• Support Schedule 3 procedures as part of your professional development
• Contribute to the varied caseload across the practice's clinical interests

Requirements

• Current RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse
• Strong clinical nursing skills with experience in inpatient care, anaesthetics, and patient management
• Commitment to delivering high standards of animal care and client service
• Passion for your work and willingness to develop your clinical interests
