About the Role

This is a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse opportunity at Loughborough Vets for Pets, set within a fast-paced small animal practice where nurses play a central clinical role. The rota includes 1 in 4 weekends, with Saturdays running from 9 to 12, and there is no out of hours.

The practice is open about work life balance and is willing to discuss how the hours are worked. You will be joining a friendly, inclusive team in a role that includes a varied mix of schedule 3, anaesthesia, consulting and in-patient care.

Nurses are encouraged to use their full skill set every day, with a rota in place to support variety and fairness across the nursing team. There is also scope to help shape the nurse clinic offer for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out a varied RVN caseload, including schedule 3 work, anaesthesia, consulting and in-patient care.
• Support patient care and client care across a busy small animal practice.
• Take part in the nursing rota, which is designed to provide variety and fairness.
• Contribute to the practice’s nurse clinic offer.
• Use strong communication and organisation skills to help maintain high standards of care.

About the Practice

Loughborough Vets for Pets is described as a stand-alone, locally owned practice on the outskirts of the university town of Loughborough, in a busy residential area with on-site parking. The location also offers access to motorway and train links to Nottingham, Leicester, the Peak District, Birmingham and London.
