1-in-6 weekend rota, no out-of-hours on-call
This full-time position at Reading Vets for Pets offers a genuine alternative to high-pressure environments. You'll work 40 hours per week with weekends on a 1-in-6 rota and no out-of-hours on-call commitments, allowing for real work-life balance. The practice is located on Brunel Retail Park in Reading with easy access to the city centre and excellent transport links by car or bus, with plenty of on-site parking.
You'll be part of a close-knit team in a purpose-built, modern surgery equipped to industry-leading standards. The caseload is diverse and rewarding, offering plenty of scope to develop your skills and experience across a wide range of small animal conditions and procedures.

The team includes three veterinary surgeons, two registered veterinary nurses, two student nurses, three veterinary care assistants, and four receptionists. The practice is equipped to industry-leading standards with digital radiography, dental facilities, and a fully equipped operating theatre, ensuring you'll work with modern equipment and resources.
