Reading Vets for Pets is a well-established, locally owned small animal practice with a reputation for quality care and a loyal client base. This full-time veterinary surgeon role offers 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm) plus one Saturday in four, with no out-of-hours commitments. You'll be part of a supportive team led by experienced owners Hassan Salamian MRCVS and Irina Vranceanu MRCVS, who are on site daily.
The practice is conveniently located on Brunel Retail Park in Reading, with easy access to the town centre and excellent transport links via bus or the nearby M4, plus ample on-site parking. You'll work with a varied caseload including first-opinion orthopaedic and laparoscopic surgeries, treating dogs, cats, rabbits, and small furries.
Established 14 years ago, Reading Vets for Pets is independently owned and operated by experienced practitioners committed to high standards of patient care and staff wellbeing. The purpose-built surgery is equipped to industry-leading standards with ultrasound, digital X-rays, diathermy, cautery, acupuncture, multi-parameter monitoring, and in-house biochemistry and haematology machines. The team includes two trained mental health first aiders, demonstrating a genuine commitment to colleague support and work-life balance.
