Ready to lead surgical development in a supportive team with genuine flexibility? Join Vets for Pets in Kidderminster and mentor juniors while building surgery services, with school hours and weekday-focused rotas available.
You'll be joining a growing practice at an exciting stage of development, where you can help drive and enhance the surgical care offered. This part-time role, around 20 hours per week, is predominantly weekday-based with occasional Saturday mornings (maximum 1 in 4), and the practice can even offer school hours flexibility. There's no OOH commitment, and appointments finish 30 minutes before closing so the team can wind down properly.
As a Senior Veterinary Surgeon with a surgical bias, you'll be key to the practice's future. You'll mentor junior clinical staff, maintain standards, and lead the development of surgical treatments. You'll be supported by an experienced clinical team and have access to a varied caseload including small furries, exotics, and dentistry.
Vets for Pets Central in Kidderminster is an established, growing small animal practice that values staff development and wellbeing. Many team members, including four nurses and a kennel assistant turned student nurse, have built their careers within the practice. The practice owner, Karina (BVetMed MRCVS), is both a qualified Mental Health First Aider and a Vet GDP Advisor, and is an approved training practice.
The team is diverse and passionate, with facilities to nurture individual talents. The practice maintains an excellent relationship with the in-store Pets at Home team and serves a varied, growing client base. Regular team catch-ups after morning consults ensure everyone feels included and has time to share ideas.
