A senior small animal vet role with a salary of up to £70,000, no OOH and weekends on a 1 in 4 rota. You will also have the chance to shape care, support junior colleagues and develop your own clinical interests.
No out of hours. Weekends on a 1 in 4 rota.
This Senior Veterinary Surgeon opportunity is built for an experienced vet who wants the next step while staying hands-on clinically. The role offers up to £70,000, no out of hours, and weekends on a 1 in 4 rota, with part-time hours and a weekend-only pattern also considered.
You will be joining a growing small animal clinic that has more than 6,000 clients and a steady flow of new cases. The practice is looking for someone with strong general medical and surgical skills, experience in emergency surgery, and confidence working sole charge. There is also scope to help shape clinical care, mentor junior team members and bring fresh ideas to the practice.
The surgery sits right on the plaza, with the beach close by for breaks, and the location is described as a real strength of the role. Support is in place for CPD and certificates, alongside a collaborative team culture that welcomes a forward-thinking approach.
Southport Vets for Pets opened in February 2017. The surgery is bright, spacious, air-conditioned and purpose built to industry-leading standards, with state-of-the-art equipment, a good variety of cases and a steady flow of new clients.
The practice is independently run by Christine and Robyn and the team includes 3 vets, 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Veterinary Care Assistants, a Practice Manager and 4 reception staff. Vets for Pets is one of the largest UK veterinary groups, with more than 440 small animal practices across the country and a locally run model that supports community-based care.
