Veterinary Care Assistant

About the Role

This is a full-time support position working 40 hours per week on a varied shift pattern. You'll be the welcoming first point of contact for clients and their pets, helping to create a positive atmosphere and ensure smooth day-to-day operations at Bramley Vets for Pets. The practice is bright and spacious, purpose-built to industry-leading standards with digital X-ray and in-house laboratory services.

This role offers a fantastic stepping stone for someone passionate about animal welfare and keen to progress towards a Student Veterinary Nurse position. You'll support the team with non-clinical duties while gaining valuable exposure to veterinary practice life.

Key Responsibilities

• Be the friendly, welcoming first point of contact for clients and their pets visiting the practice
• Maintain strong knowledge of the practice's services and communicate these clearly to clients
• Support the practice team with a range of non-clinical duties to ensure smooth operations
• Handle diverse situations with calm, professional attention, from supporting clients during difficult moments to celebrating milestones like a new puppy's first visit
• Help create a positive, friendly, and supportive atmosphere across the team
• Deliver exceptional client and patient care to the highest standards
