Veterinary Care Assistant

About the Role

This part-time position offers 30 hours per week, working Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11am to 7pm. You'll join an established, family-owned small animal practice known for delivering outstanding patient care and an inclusive, supportive team culture.

The practice is purpose-built to industry-leading standards with state-of-the-art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities. This is an ideal opportunity if you're looking to progress into a student nurse role in the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist colleagues with clinical and non-clinical duties to support smooth running of the practice
• Clean theatre, instruments, kennels, and other clinical areas
• Answer telephone calls and manage front desk support
• Hold patients during clinical procedures to help the veterinary team
• Package laboratory samples
• Work closely with Registered Veterinary Nurses to provide excellent patient care

Requirements

• Enthusiasm and passion for animal care and veterinary practice
• Previous experience as a Veterinary Care Assistant is advantageous but not essential
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Full training will be provided
