Ready to launch your veterinary career in a modern, supportive practice? Redhill Companion Care is looking for an enthusiastic Care Assistant to join their bright, fully-equipped team and progress towards a Student Veterinary Nurse qualification.

About the Role

You’ll be the warm, welcoming face of Redhill Companion Care, supporting clients and their pets from the moment they arrive. This full-time position (40 hours per week) offers a genuine pathway into veterinary nursing, with in-house training and development opportunities to progress towards a Student Veterinary Nurse role.

The practice operates a modern, purpose-built facility with state-of-the-art equipment including digital X-ray and an in-house laboratory. You’ll work Saturday mornings on a 1:4 rota, but your weekdays will be packed with variety as you support the clinical team and deliver exceptional customer service in a bright, spacious, fully air-conditioned environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and reassure clients and their pets as they arrive at the practice, creating a warm first impression
  • Support the clinical team with non-clinical duties to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Stay informed about practice services and additional offerings to confidently guide clients
  • Remain calm and attentive during busy periods and emotionally challenging moments, showing genuine empathy
  • Assist in delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining the friendly, supportive atmosphere the practice is known for
  • Bring enthusiasm and a proactive attitude to every task, with a real passion for both people and animals

Requirements

  • Ability to remain calm and focused in busy or emotionally demanding situations
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and a proactive approach to your role
  • Willingness to learn and develop your veterinary knowledge
  • No specific qualifications required – the right attitude and willingness to progress matter most
