This is a unique opportunity to join a standalone small animal practice in the heart of Alsager, a picturesque market town in Cheshire surrounded by countryside and just an hour from Manchester. You'll work flexibly on a mix of full-time and part-time hours (ideally Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, with Saturday mornings 9am-12pm on a 1-in-4 rota). Best of all, there are no Sunday shifts or overnight on-call duties, giving you genuine work-life balance without compromise on your clinical impact.
The practice itself is light, spacious, and equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, BP measurement, and in-house laboratory facilities. You'll have complete clinical freedom to treat your patients, supported by an owner who makes decisions quickly and values your input. Carl, the practice owner, is an RVN with decades of experience in wound management, radiography, and surgery, and he's actively invested in mentoring and supporting your professional development.
You'll be part of a team of 3 vets (2 FTE), including experienced clinicians and a recent graduate with a special interest in exotics, plus 3 RVNs, 1 SVN, and 2 receptionists. The practice is proud to be certified as an Autism Friendly Surgery and regularly hosts team outings to build camaraderie.
