A 30 to 40 hour week, no OOH and a salary of £45,000 to £60,000 make this a role built around sustainable general practice. You'll also have the chance to join a growing team where positive change is actively welcomed.
This General Practice Veterinary Surgeon role is based in West Lancashire and offers 30 to 40 hours per week with no out of hours. The rota includes 1 in 4 weekends with sole charge, alongside some weekday flexibility to help the pattern work for everyone.
The practice is looking for a vet who values strong relationships, calm teamwork and sensible clinical decision making. You will be joining an experienced vet team and a capable nursing team, with room to build confidence and develop your skills while staying involved in a varied general practice caseload.
This independent-minded practice opened in summer 2016 and has grown from zero to over 4,000 active clients. It has modern facilities, including dental radiography and laparoscopy.
The team includes four vets, a practice manager, a head nurse with a dedicated nursing team that includes student nurses and veterinary care assistants, plus a client care manager and a supportive reception team. The practice says it values low staff turnover, open communication and a healthy work-life balance.
