Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

This is a full time Veterinary Surgeon position within a busy small animal practice in Corby, where the team is entering an exciting period of growth, relaunch and rebrand. The role offers 40 hours per week, including 1 in 3 Saturdays from 9am to 6pm, with no OOH or Sunday hours.

You will be joining an inclusive and supportive team that currently includes 2 Vets, 4 qualified RVNs including the Practice Owner, an SVN due to qualify, a VCA and 4 Receptionists. The practice describes a family-like culture with a collaborative approach, and there is scope for the right candidate to work closely with the Practice Owner to help shape the team, clinical protocols and standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver consultations, diagnostics, treatment planning and routine surgery for a loyal and varied small animal caseload.
• Work collaboratively to provide outstanding patient and client care.
• Contribute to a positive team culture and support junior team members where appropriate.
• For the right candidate, help shape the team, clinical protocols and standards of care alongside the Practice Owner.

Requirements

• Experienced and confident Veterinary Surgeon.
• Comfortable handling consultations, diagnostics and routine surgery independently.
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years post qualification experience is ideally required.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting practice growth and development.
• New graduates cannot be supported in this role.
