This is a full-time maternity cover position for one year, starting around August 2026. You'll work 37.5 hours per week with a manageable 1-in-3 Saturday rota, meaning genuine work-life balance alongside clinical variety. The practice is purpose-built to industry-leading standards with state-of-the-art equipment, located on the Imperial Retail Park with easy access to the A2 and frequent rail links to Central London.
You'll be joining a well-established team of 3 vets, 6 RVNs, 2 SVNs, a Practice Manager, and 5 receptionists. The practice takes pride in building strong, long-term client relationships and delivers both surgical and medical cases. You'll have the opportunity to take some sole charge responsibility as you settle into the team.
Vets4Pets in Gravesend is a modern, purpose-built small animal practice offering state-of-the-art facilities including digital X-ray, in-house laboratory, Doppler blood pressure monitoring, ultrasound, capnography, pulse oximetry, v-gels for cats and rabbits, surgical suction, and separate dog and cat wards. The team is led by experienced clinicians, including Partner and Vet Paul Gunning (qualified 2011), who holds a certificate in small animal surgery and has a special interest in orthopaedics.
