This is a full time Veterinary Surgeon role in a 24/7 small animal hospital with a varied caseload and strong case continuity. The team includes 13 vets, and the practice is looking for a forward thinking, driven and conscientious vet who can fit into a busy, supportive environment.
The role is built around clinical variety, with 20 minute appointments, dedicated inpatient time and the option to get involved in video consults if that interests you. OOH is not required, although there is the opportunity to cover OOH or ECC work within the rota if you would like that added.
The hospital is a state of the art 24/7 small animal site in Northampton. It has three theatres, a large prep room, a quiet room, four wards with CASCO heated kennels, 10 consulting rooms, bedrooms for OOH colleagues, and a colleague room and kitchen for breaks.
There is a dedicated pharmacy team, so medication dispensing from consults is not part of the role. The practice also uses AI for consult notes and has brand new endoscope and Sonovet ultrasound equipment. Internal out of hours care is already in place, which means interesting cases can stay in house rather than being referred out.
