Ready to join a progressive small animal practice with a strong surgical culture and a genuinely supportive team? Gamston Vets for Pets is looking for an experienced vet who can lead clinically while mentoring others.
1 in 4 Saturday mornings, 9am to 12pm. Weekend day shifts only, not overnight on-call.
This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced veterinary surgeon at Gamston Vets for Pets, a purpose-built small animal practice in the heart of Nottinghamshire. The role includes a manageable 1 in 4 Saturday morning rota (9am to 12pm), fitting neatly around a standard 40-hour week. You'll be working from a bright, air-conditioned surgery equipped to industry-leading standards with state-of-the-art facilities including digital x-ray, ultrasound, ECG, ultrasonic dental equipment, full biochemistry and microscopy, and comprehensive surgical suites.
The practice sits in a vibrant community setting next to the canal and local shops, with excellent transport links: just 10 minutes from the M1, 5 minutes from Nottingham city centre, and close to major A roads. You'll be joining a close-knit, supportive team of 3.5 vets, 3 nurses, 2 veterinary care assistants, and 4 receptionists, all led by a passionate practice owner who has been in the profession for 28 years.

The practice is purpose-built to the highest standards with state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical equipment, reflecting a commitment to excellent clinical outcomes and client service. The team is led by a practice owner with deep clinical experience, and the culture emphasises collaborative, supportive working relationships and continuous professional development.
