This is a full-time permanent position offering genuine work-life balance in a thriving small animal practice. You'll work 9am-5pm or 11am-7pm shifts with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (9am-5pm), though the practice is open to discussing flexible arrangements. Critically, there is no out-of-hours work required. The practice builds in protected lunch breaks, admin time, and tea breaks, with the last client appointment at 6.30pm to ensure you leave on time.
Based in a modern, purpose-built practice within a Pets at Home store, you'll join practice owners Melissa (13+ years' experience, qualified Vet GDP advisor with interest in soft tissue surgery and preventative medicine) and Lucy (RVN, 22+ years' experience, focused on preventative care and anaesthesia). The team also includes Vicky, the Practice Manager and Mental Health First Aider, another experienced vet, nursing staff, a veterinary care assistant, and three client care advisors. Nuneaton is well-positioned near Birmingham and Coventry, with excellent transport links and just 56 minutes by direct train to London Euston.
The practice is a multiple award-winner (including Vets4Pets new practice of the year 2019), operates to Practice Standard Scheme level, holds RCVS accreditation, Silver cat-friendly status, and RWAF accreditation. Caseload is varied and interesting, encompassing general practice surgery and medicine.
Vets for Pets Nuneaton is a modern, purpose-built small animal practice located within a Pets at Home store on Newtown Road. The facility is equipped with contemporary veterinary equipment including a Cryopen for cryotherapy. The practice has been recognised as Vets4Pets new practice of the year (2019) and maintains multiple accreditations including RCVS accreditation, Practice Standard Scheme status, Silver cat-friendly status, and RWAF accreditation.
