This is a part-time position working 30 hours per week across three days, with 1-in-3 Saturday cover and no overnight on-call duties. You'll join an established, stable team at Preston Vets for Pets, located on Preston Docks in a picturesque setting with excellent local amenities. The practice sits in the heart of Lancashire, offering easy access to the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, and major cities including Liverpool and Manchester, perfect if you're seeking affordable housing alongside genuine work-life balance.
You'll be expected to work sole charge across both consultations and surgery, bringing confidence and surgical experience to the role. If you have interests in dentistry, dermatology, or ultrasonography, the practice would particularly value your expertise, though these are not essential.
Preston Vets for Pets is a training practice with a strong commitment to staff development and minimal turnover. The team includes a Practice Owner/Head Nurse, Practice Manager, two veterinary surgeons, two RVNs, one SVN, one VCA, and reception staff, creating a supportive, close-knit environment where everyone's different commitments are respected.
